First investment property in East Franklinton or Olde Towne East?
Hi everyone,
I've saved up some money and I'm looking at making my first attempt at buying an investment property. I'm looking at a single-family home since I understand that's a good place to start in an underdeveloped area with high potential. Two areas have stood out in Columbus so far: East Franklinton and Olde Towne East.
It looks like the city of Columbus has had many plans over the years to revitalize East Franklinton, but it's not clear to me if any of it has worked so far. Any general impressions you guys might have? I'm also finding it hard to find any property for sale east of 315, any idea why that might be? My understanding is that there are several single family homes around Dodge Park.
The other potential area is Olde Towne East, though honestly that area seems to already be pretty inflated. Any opinions?
