Looking for suggestion/insights on Abilene, TX multifamily market. Is this good area to be in for buy and hold and how's the vacancy rate there. I'm in DFW and have no idea about Abilene. Will appreciate if anyone experienced in Abilene properties can share thoughts on the area and if i should take into consideration.
Curious why you're not looking in DFW.
@Ronald Rohde Just matter of finding something interesting which has decent cash flow. Do you have any investments in Abilene or DFW?
I invest in DFW plenty of cash flow here
Are you looking in Abilene just to be out of the metroplex? Might be a little far to keep up with depending where you're at!
In DFW, there are a lot of properties that would provide great cash flow. Especially in areas with college students!
@Atta Bari I work in Denton County. The places I see are Lewisville, Carrollton, The Colony, Denton. These are places that are close to two major universities like TWU and UNT
Also a lot of businesses are moving to the Keller/ Southlake area so Roanoke and Trophy Club will be growing as well
I'm also considering buying investment properties in Abilene. Property taxes in DFW are high. Also multi family homes are expensive and highly sought after in DFW.
