Looking for the best options to invest my cash
I have 20k to invest. The bank is making it hard to get another loan due to high down payments and bogus requirements... what’s the best way to invest this money?
Hello Jake, have you think of partnering with an experienced investor or investors to get a deal ?
@Adekunle Ilori I would love to. My problem is finding the right partner.
@Jake Diamond while you are trying to decide definitely keep it in a high-yielding interest account, there are many that offer 2% with no minimum balance or monthly fees.
I would advise against partnering unless it's someone you truly trust and know has a good track record. If the bank you are working with is making things difficult, why not shop around for a different one that is more flexible? Local banks that keep notes in house are often the best to deal with. Big banks have too much red tape, I wouldn't recommend going through them for anything investment-related but just my two cents.
You could:
- -Lend it to another investor as private money
- -Invest in Fundrise.com properties (I have not done this myself so can't review it)
- -Go to your local REIA meetings and find reputable partners to go in on a deal with
Just a few options!

@Jake Diamond Hi Jake, I’m looking for investors. Feel free to PM me if you’d like to discuss.
Hi Jake! There are lots of opportunities to invest that $20k you have. Like E Brady said, Real Estate Crowdfunding platforms are a great way to get into high quality assets with as little as $500 down.
Make sure that you do your research about the platforms and ensure that they have deals that meet you investment criteria. At Cashflowinvestor.co we aim to offer our investment community returns of 8%+ cash on cash return with an IRR of 15% with a minimum investment of $25K.
There are many great online syndication platforms that offer high quality assets and allow you to invest passively and is one of many avenues available.
Hope that helps.
Good Luck!

Any specific platforms you suggest people take a look at?
There are plenty of great companies that are out there but I will take this opportunity to plug ours.
We have a platform called CashFlowInvestor.co and we are partnering with a company called Holdfolio to find and fund projects. If you have any questions about what we are doing we would love to talk to you about it.
Outside of these here's a list of other high quality sites that offer investors an opportunity to partner on syndications:
- Fundrise
- stREITwise
- Roofstock
- RealtyMogul
- PeerStreet
- EquityMultiple
- Patch of Land
- Rich Uncles
Hope that helps
@Jake Diamond you could put 20% down payment for a $100k conventional loan. Have you considered turnkey properties in B+ markets?
Good luck!
Nikki
@Nikki Albert tried that banks want 6 months of reserves and plus almost 10k in closing cost...
