Build-for-Rent Strategies for Income

I have an high stable Salary/Bonus income stream and $50k earmarked to start developing a portfolio of income producing Build-for-Rent properties. I will be completely hands off including property management.

My goal is to have a $10k income stream to cover my SoCal retirement home expenses within 10 years. Dreaming or lucid?

There are a few FIRE calculators out there that can help you with these calculations. Just google FIRE Calc and you'll find a few good ones. I have not done build for rent, but managing a property manager is never 100% passive. This will take more work than, say, index fund or real estate syndication investing.
