Subleasing Information on a house
I'm looking for information on how to go about subleasing a home in Los Angeles CA. The house belongs to a neighbor. She bought the house for a family member who has moved out. I offered to buy or rent the house. She doesn't want to sell but has offered to rent it to me. I thought this would e an excellent opportunity to sublease, but I've never done it before. The owner told me what she is looking to rent it for, and based on rentometer, I see the home could rent for more. Based on what she's told me, she is not interested in cash flow or looking at this home as an investment. I offered to rent or buy the house because it has been vacant for almost a year. Any suggestions on how to approach this? Do I have to disclose that I want to sublease the property?
