This newbie is so lost! I can’t seem to find that first golden goose property. W2 mindset is creeping back in! Analyses paralyses is lurking right behind.
I need an accountability partner and a mentor……any ideas guys?
I must get my first commercial property before Fall. I just need a go-to person momentarily….

Thanks, coachable newbie

Quote from @Commie Anana:

Maybe your problem is that you have unrealistic expectations.

What did investors do in 1950? 1970? 1990?

Make money, save money, buy a house in a neighborhood they believed in, manage it well, and hold it forever. They didn't have access to BiggerPockets where they could learn how to calculate cash-on-cash, ROI, ROE, or print reports with colorful charts and graphs.

Earn money. Save money. Find a neighborhood you believe in. Find a house you like. Buy it. Hold it forever.

It's that simple.

P.S. Every property is a viable investment opportunity for the right price. All you have to know is how to buy something at the right price so that it pays for itself.

Hey Commie!

I am a REI consultant that works with investors in two areas: real estate investing and psychological wellbeing.

As far as investing, it sounds like you are needing to find your first commercial property within the next 3 months. Additionally, you'd like to receive some guidance and be held accountable.

On the psychological front, it sounds like you are feeling some anxiety which may be triggering "W2" thought patterns, which in turn may be triggering anxiety about falling into an "analyses paralyses". Analysis paralysis is an avoidant behavior and a common manifestation of anxiety.

So, if we were to work together we would focus on locking up your first property and reducing your anxiety.

Did I understand your situation correctly? If so, set up a free call with me via my website (nathanschiess.com). We will see how much we can get done in that free 1 hour session and then we can go from there!

Thanks, sounds good. However, are you an investor, a psychologist, or both?

Looks like he's claiming to be both. He apparently counsels people and helps motivate them to build their portfolios.

Hey Commie! I am an investor and a consultant. I do not provide medical interventions for mental health problems.

This is what I do:
1) Helping investors articulate, clarify, and organize their thoughts.
2) Holding investors accountable for their actions.
3) Assisting investors as they strategize and make plans to reach theirREI goals.

Additionally, I offer my clients my experience as an investor as well as my network in order to help them accomplish their goals.
