This weekend I will be meeting with a mentor and I have as short list of questions. A little back story, This person was my very first boss he owned a small business and gave me a job as a floor sweep and over time I worked my way up to the do anything they need guy. I worked with him until he fired with the notion of once I get my degree ( in accounting) he would higher me again.  That happened I was hired as an office manager and the small business was later sold. From working with him I learn that he is very very smart business man, a real estate investor (commercial and residential) and a business broker.  he is now "retired" ( I say it that way because he has never been one for relaxation or vacations) So here is a list a questions Please let me know of more questions to ask:

How big is your real estate investing business? (units, deals ect)

How did your start your real estate investing?

What type of investing worked best for you?

when renting how did you screen your tenets?

Do you use a Property management company?

If so what was there responsibilities?

 Best real estate deal?

Worst real estate deal?

Commercial vs residential?

books? blogs? " help tools?

Any feed back would be greatly appreciated!!!!
