Hi Everyone! We're evaluating a deal in Roseville which comes with a double lot (11,000+ sq ft), each end of the lot on a different street. Does anyone have experience working with the city of Roseville to split lots or change zoning (potentially to multi-family)? How difficult is the process and how long does it take?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!
@Debby Chen , I don't have personal experience with this, so I'm sorry I can't be of more help. If no one else chimes in, I'd try finding a local contractor in the Roseville area that you might be interested in working with. Most contractors will have a good sense of what it takes to get permits and might be able to offer some advice into the process of splitting a lot and rezoning.
My guess is that changing zoning might not be the quickest process, but it probably depends on the location of the property and what's around it. If it's in a neighborhood with nice homes on the lots next door, those owners might try to fight you a bit on building MFH there.
Good luck! Let me know how it's going and what you find :).
@Debby Chen , I know a few people in the area with development experience. PM me and I'll be happy to provide some contacts if you are interested.
