Detached Structure to ADU or Garage to ADU conversion?
Hello everyone,
My Wife and I are ready to buy our second property because we are househacking our primary home and we are expecting a new member of the family in april! That being said we are going to keep househacking our primary home for the great cashflow and have the idea of building an ADU in our next home to off set our living expense. I am currently looking for a house with an existing detached structure to convert into an ADU, but I read online that the cheapest way to go about it is to convert a garage. Anyone have any advice or pointers? anything helps THANKS!
