Looking for someone with Section 8 experience in Tampa

I purchased a SFH in Tampa that is currently well under FMR. The tenant I currently have is Section 8 and only has a 2 bed voucher in a 3 bed home, so I know for sure that there is some value add there. I plan on raising rent, spoke with my tenants current counselor at the housing authority, and it doesn't seem like it will be very difficult (Tenant told me they plan on moving out as of right now...I'm sure that could probably change). I'll be sending in a 'Rent reasonableness request' soon, so my question is...with the housing authority, how do you normally make a judgement call on how much rent to ask for? Should I ask for more than I think is 'reasonable' just to see what their max is? It really seems that right now, and based on the condition of my property (not a crack den, but 113 years old and needs a good solid restoration when the time comes), section 8 is by far my best bet...
