Detroit multifamily investor looking to purchase in SW Florida

Hey Florida BP Folks!

I am a relatively seasoned investor out of the metro Detroit area, and wanted to reach out in hopes to connect with local investors/ agents in the southwest Florida market, specifically areas between Tampa and Naples.  I know that's casting a pretty wide net, so I've preliminarily zeroed in on St. Pete, Sarasota, and Bonita Springs. However something on the outskirts of those areas would be fine as well. I am mostly looking for something that is within walking distance to a beach, but not in a sketchy location.  

Any advice is greatly appreciated, and would love to connect!! In exchange, I can provide you with some comprehensive insight on the Metro Det market!
