Hi All, 

I am looking to work with a CPA that is very proficient with real estate investors and the strategies that can save us as much money as possible come tax time and offering advice throughout the year with purchases etc. I just finished reading the BP book Tax Strategies for the Savvy Real Estate Investor, which was amazing read I highly recommend. The book has really spurred my desire to seek out a valuable partner in this arena to help me as I grow my investing portfolio. 

Who have you worked with that you would recommend? Preferably local to SWFL but also open to folks in Florida. Thanks in advance!

I can highly recommend Rick Donner with Donner CPA, PA. He is a real estate investor as well as a CPA. He is located in Cape Coral.

Yes, my husband. We flip properties and we buy multiunit properties that we keep. He handles our books, of course, as well as for investors and also real estate agents. I don't want to break any rules for posting here, you can google him or facebook him or me. :) Thank you. 

Hey @Kristin Moore , I am also from the area and am looking for CPA to use in the near future. I listened to an episode of BP where they interviewed @Brandon Hall he is a real estate CPA. He is not located in FL but he may be a good option if you cannot find a local CPA. Hope that helps and please let me know who you decided to go with. I will need a CPA in the near future. Thanks!

@Kristen Moore , I have not used Rick Donner myself but I have an investor friend who has and swears by him. My friend was just telling me about Rick last week. He said Rick really knows his stuff with the real estate side.

I use Jerry Davies form Davies & Kerr in west Tampa. Jerry is a investor himself and is great at strategy planning. He also speaks at some of the local REIA meetings from time to time.

Any other local SWFL options/recommendations? I am looking for a new one as well :)

He's specialized in REI, he's an investor, super active here on BP. I'd reach out and see if he's accepting new clients.
