converting sun room to livable square footage.
Looking for some insight on what it takes to convert a sun room into livable sqft. To explain a little bit. The sunroom is all windows on three of the walls with the forth being the back of the house. The sunroom was an addition to the house. What would need to be completed in order to list the property with the extra square footage?
That depends on who you're wanting to say "yes" to the additional square footage. The appraiser, tax man, or the permitting office all have different desires.
That said, from a pure usability standpoint if you have hot summers or cold winters you'll want to modify the room to be more thermally sound while maintaining good natural light for the interior space you'll be enclosing or cutting off.
