Anybody have experience with rehabbing a gutted burned brick house? I have one in a nice neighborhood, and I am interested. However the roof is burnt-out partially. I think the whole onside needs replaced, but the brick looks in tact. Bit appears to be brick on all sides.
@Terry Crocker would need pictures to be sure but it is doable. Depending on how hot the fire got it could have cracked the slab. Not always the case because heat rises. Anything alligator skin looking will have to be replaced but just black wood you can Kilz it to alleviate the smell. I have done a few and they are not fun. They are very dirty and it seems like you smell like smoke for a month after.
