using hard money at auctions

Hi!

I just signed up with BP and there is a lot of info on here. Can anyone give me insight on using hard money at auctions? I know you usually pay all cash at auctions but can you pay the earnest deposit and use hard money when escrow closes? Also, does anyone know of any good hard/private money lenders?

I am also looking for some good deals in the Sacramento area if anyone has any.
