San Diego County Tax Sale 400 properties up for bid
- Online property auction runs March 10- March 15, 2023
- Anyone around the world can bid in the online property tax auction
- To participate, bidders must register before March 2 at the Treasurer-Tax Collector’s tax auction website.
- Bidders are required to submit a refundable $1,000 deposit and a non-refundable $35 processing fee (some parcels may require a larger deposit), according to the San Diego County Treasurer-Tax Collector's Office.
- All sales are final, so this is a buyer beware sale. The TTC recommends beginning the research process on its website.
Interesting that there are a lot of timeshares up for sale. That's reverse cash flow probably in many cases.
421 Properties for Sale this year. Some residential, some commercial, some time shares, some land parcels.

@Bruce Lynn
So if you didn’t get a deposit in by March 2nd you cannot bid?

Next year....or make a deal with someone who got registered.

Is this an auction for full ownership? Can the former owner come back, redeem, and get the property back?

@Taylor Stow I don't bid in CA and don't know anything about CA tax sales, but I believe in this particular case they are deed sales that are not redeemable in this case after the sale. Just a quick look at their website makes me think they are still redeemable before the sale as some are marked Redeemed.
One nice thing it appears is that they will publish the winning bid....so you can see where you stand at the end of the sale.

Too bad this wasn’t put up in time to bid. Might be a good one to see if anyone bids on the time shares they probably could have bought for a dollar off eBay or Facebook. Probably either a newbie or someone from outside the country?

I saw this! I did not find anything that tickled my fancy. Did anyone else jump in?

Are timeshares really on eBay and Facebook? That's wild to me!

401 listings today. Many available buy it now for $1. People trying to get out of the maintenance fees.

The good old property tax auction sale...a lot of timeshares and vacant lots no one wants lol. Think there was like 40 houses in total. My friend bought one last year and is still in the process of getting the squatters out over a year later, be careful what you buy!
