Back taxes and sheriff auctions..

Hello I purchased a home through the non m-tax foreclosure auction, and was curious as to whether the back taxes would be applied to the parcel after purchase. Thank you

Check with the tax assessor.  In Texas yes.  They try to collect back taxes with the sale, but can also depend on when the judgement was won and when the auction is held.

Depends on state as in some states the taxes are paid as part of proceeds from auction
