Can any local investors recommend a solid CPA that has experience with rental properties?
Hi @Dave Crussel , I too am on the quest of finding a CPA within the Minneapolis area. I will let you know if I can find one as well.
@Sean Blomquist - don't you have a CPA that is giving a presentation at one of your events? Rally savvy with real estate investors?
Stovall & Associates have experience with REI and contractors. I've not used them yet but interviewed the principle, Nick Stovall. He was very helpful and knowledgable. http://stovallassoc.com
@Dave Crussel @Alexander Lang I am hosting an event tonight in Roseville with an investor who was a CPA for 15 years before turning to investing full time last year. He is going to talk about strategies to help with your tax burden as an investor. Please email me directly and I can send you the link to our advertisement for tonight's event.
Thanks for the invite @Sean Blomquist ! I am working tonight until 9 pm, but if you don't mind sending me a message with his information I would like to reach out to him if possible. Thanks again!!
We use John Caylor, in Plymouth. He is a CPA and also owns his own rentals so is very familiar with it. He is not cheap, but he seems to really know his stuff. Please tell him I sent you if you decide to meet with him.
@Kristine Eickman funny you should recommend him. Another local investor that isn't on BP also connected me with John. I am connecting with him next week.
Multiple recommendations are great.
We have been with John for 4 years now I think. We actually met with him before we bought our first property to find out about tax benefits and have been with him ever since. Glad you are meeting with him!
