Plastic parts manufacturer Plastikon, another reported Tesla supplier, plans factory in region

Nearly 100K sq. ft. leases in Plum Creek Industrial Center just south of Austin

Dozens of companies are expected to set up shop in the Austin area in the coming months as Tesla (Nasdaq: TSLA) gets closer to finishing its $1.1 billion facility in eastern Travis County. Experts have long said hundreds could move to the region to either supply or feed off of the electric car manufacturer in Central Texas, similar to what happened when Tesla opened its first gigafactory in Nevada in 2014.
