Anyone done mentorship bootcamp offered by Richard Garcia? Any reviews/feedback?
Hello I have come across IG page for Richard Garcia. He has really good content and tips and I am looking to sign up for his mentorship program. I was wondering if anyone has any experience about it?
@Poonam Barad depends what you're looking to do in real estate. Does he have what you want and is actively doing what you want to do? I've never personally heard of him, but this is one of the key things I looked for when I found my mentor. I was able to 4x my portfolio because of it.
Thank you for your response Brandon. I agree and he definitely is doing what I am looking for (or it seems to be from his IG) but we all know how social media can be. So wanted to vet this guy to see if anyone has any experience.
If you don't mind me asking, what were you looking for and how did you have to pay for the mentorship?

I agree. Trust, but verify.
I was looking for someone that already is or on their way to being financially free, someone who I can connect with personally, and who is willing to teach/coach me in my specific circumstances. My mentorship was not an online course but rather weekly accountability calls and guidance through whatever roadblock I was encountering, which most of the time was my mindset.
Hey Poonam, although I am pretty new to this platform, I have been a real estate investor for a while now as well as a business owner.
During my journey, I have invested a lot of time and money in people more experienced than me to get where I want to be. Richard has been one of them, he is a very straight to the point person and actually wants to help someone. I went over his bootcamp and got into a few 1on1s with him too. He definitely knows his stuff on real estate, no doubt about that.
He also saved me a good amount of money in attorney fees, he provides resources like lease agreements, construction agreements and seller financing contracts, these cost a pretty penny to structure with an attorney.
@Poonam Barad did you ever end up taking the course?
Hey Poonam, I took Rich's masterclass back in July and have been doing private sessions with him as well, I've got nothing but great things to say about him. He's gone above and beyond to meet with me despite him always traveling and has provided me with endless resources like contract templates, guides, calculators and a whole library of books. I'm a real estate agent and sometimes have to reschedule my calls with him to do showings or need debt/deal calculators for my clients and he's always understanding of it and comes through.
Rich is THAT guy, lots of respect for him!
So it looks like two of the post were created for the sole purpose of writing a positive review. 😳
Hey Poonam, below i will explain my personal experience with the masterclass that Richard Garcia hosts, I was in the one he did in August of this year.
I already own one multi family property but it’s been a while since I haven’t managed to find a way to scale into more properties, right now, I feel like I got the strategy in place due to his mentorship and the strategies he breaks down on his masterclass. I currently have a few deals I am analyzing and I am close on securing one of them.
Not only that, but his LLC guide and plan helped me protect my first property, since I did not know how important is to protect your assets.
I like to invest in myself and knowledge, because it’s the only way to get out when your are stuck with investing, so I totally recommend to give his masterclass a look.
I recently invested in his masterclass, I am just starting out, so I figured that getting knowledge and some mentorship is the way. I have to say that I was impressed how the masterclass portal is organised, makes browsing and revision easy in case you want to watch something back, this way you learn better. I was in the live trainings, but as I said, I am very new in the real estate world, so I am taking my time with it and rewatching the entire masterclass again so I can understand everything. I like Richard’s approach both as a coach but also as a human when it comes to life goals and etc.
Hey, I took Richard´s Masterclass and I must say that it is very informative and complete, it really helped me understand a lot of what I was needing about real estate. He is very generous with the information he shares.
I was part of one of his programs and to be honest it was better than expected. He has a great investing strategy and he shares it in a very detailed way. I was honestly surprised by his investing approach when it comes to Real Estate. He is a good mentor I have had 1on1s with the guy and he has been outstanding. He has truly helped me overcome my limitations and I have been able to buy some properties due to his advice and guidance.
Hey I also tool Richard Garcias masterclass/mentorship. He so knowledgeable about real estate esp in the asset protection field. Truly one of a kind masterclass and esp for someone who knew 0 about investing. I learned so much. Hes incredible

.... and his weekly coaching calls are very helpful to implement everything I've learned. It's worth every dollar... I wish I knew about Richard's mentorship sooner!

1000% the student portal is really great to have! You get lifetime access to it and you can rewatch all the recordings at your own pace... something that I truly needed because I'm a full time mom and I work a lot so I need as much time to go over the material xD
I took a 6 months coaching program with Richard Garcia and it was amazing! I'm a business owner with little time to be learning about real estate investing, which is why I wanted to work alongside a mentor. I got set up on a call with someone on his team and the person was so knowledgeable and walked me through in great details what the program entails, appreciate such much the fact that I didn't feel any pressure to commit to anything. I had been researching a few other “gurus” out there and finally decided to take the plunge, glad I did! I went through his masterclass first and then started working with him 1on1 looking for deals, negotiating deals…Richard helped me close on my first multifamily unit within the 6 months and helped put an asset protection in place that protects my real estate portfolio as well as my own business. I just extended my coaching for another 12 months

Exactly Joe. These are are always red flags but will often be overlooked by novice investors.
I've participated in Richard Garcia's free webinars or his spur of the moment Instagram Live, where people can type in questions in the comments and he answers them. His real estate contracts and some of the advice makes sense. Most of the content he has posted on IG recently is asset protection and international trusts (trust in the Cook Islands), international bank accounts (in Dubai), etc with videos of his family traveling in different countries.
For someone who owns multi-millions in real estate, that makes sense but for 98% of the investors on here, especially new investors, it makes no sense to pay $20,000+ to establish international trusts, holding companies and LLCs for asset protection (from lawsuits) and a tax shelter. If someone is buying a $200,000 to $1+ million property, all those fees will eat up any rental income and any "tax savings" is obliterated. A new investor buying a $150,000 SFH house in the Midwest or $500,000 duplex doesn't need a trust in the Cook Islands - ridiculous and not practical.
I know many California investors with millions in real estate who purchased umbrella insurance who don't even have LLCs. If someone's going to get an LLC, do it in the USA. Getting an international trust is overkill for most investors.
Most of the RE advice I've gotten is from networking with local and out of state investors, real estate agents and asking what they did and checking to see if I analyzed the deal correctly (rehab costs, etc) ... all free. Next time I go visit an OOS mentor, I'll take them out to lunch/dinner, costs way less than $5000 to $18,000 than what these programs charge. Attending local real estate meet ups is a great tool to learn from experienced investors. Talk to inspectors, local contractors and start walking properties (ask a local investor if you can tag along if they have projects in the works )- you start getting a sense of how much renovation costs are, what are major safety issues and what's minor, what your offer price should be, and the ARV.
I can't speak to the mentorship program since I'm not in it. Interestingly when you go to Richard's website and try to look up his courses and programs and the costs, it says "page not found".

In his masterclass he lays down exactly when and how an investor should start protecting his assets.
As for networking and local mentors, I guess that’s up to you, but I don’t see how someone who worths millions would with a simple dinner sit down with you and teach you unless you have some other sort of value to offer him/her with your services or got similar experience with him/her.
My experience with Richard Garcia's Real Estate masterclass has been an absolute game changer for me in the world of real estate. His knowledge and expertise in the field are unmatched, and he has a knack for breaking down complex concepts into easily understandable terms. It's like having a personal mentor guiding you every step of the way. If you're serious about real estate investing and want to take your game to the next level, I highly recommend Richard Garcia's masterclass, you won't be disappointed.
As an experienced investor with 2 rental properties, I can confidently say that his masterclass has taken my real estate knowledge to a new level when i took it.
Richard's guidance has been invaluable in expanding my knowledge and refining my investment strategies. His masterclass provided me with advanced insights and techniques that have significantly impacted my rental property business. The property management and tenant relations has also been great. His masterclass taught me effective strategies for tenant screening, lease agreements, and handling property maintenance. By implementing these practices, I've been able to maintain a high occupancy rate, minimize vacancies, and build positive relationships with my tenants.
My son and I attended one of Richards live webinars a few months ago when my son had stumbled across one of his posts on Instagram from a friend sharing it with him. We're also from the south Florida area, so it's nice to see someone who's familiar with our market show how they made something of themselves for him and his family and be able to travel the world.
We've reached out and spoken with him a few times for his free guides and resources on instagram, he's been very kind and responsive, we are excited and looking to enroll in his 5 day real estate masterclass coming up in January

I'm not a beginning investor and I have substantial equity in California properties. I definitely didn't acquire any of my properties by paying a mentor or coach $5000 or $10,000 to hand hold me. If you read most of the forums where experienced investors have commented, most of them have never paid a mentor/coach either.
I've gotten on calls with the RE gurus after watching their free webinars because I felt stuck for a couple of months as far as how much and how to scale. I almost signed up for a $5000 mentorship (discounted from $7500 because he was running a special), also talked to a different guru/coach who charges $18,000 (several people have posted about this individual if you search the forums). What I don't like is their high pressure sales pitch. I took my $18,000 and used it towards a downpayment on a property instead of paying for his program. I could see $500 or even $1500 for a course or a coach but over $10,000 or $18,000 is crazy.
I've networked with at least a dozen people on here and they given me advice and I've connected with agents, local investors (for my OOS investing), PM companies. I've done 2 deals from these connections in the last year from BP. I post on here frequently. As a way of giving back to those who have helped me, I also help out new investors especially those investing out of state by sending them contacts of agents, contractors, inspectors, what happened in my situation, what to look for with properties etc. Maybe I should start charging people $1 a minute every time I talk to my friends who are interested in RE and I help them out lol
If you want to pay for a mentor/coach, cool. It's your money.
Btw, how much do Richard Garcia's programs cost? When I click on his site, the payment info says "page not found" .

Hey everyone, I recently enrolled into Richard's masterclass for January. I have been reaching out to him for a while now, getting free resources from him which he regularly posts about and also chatting, he has given me great advice and his resources were really helpful. Super cool and not pushy, he connected me with his right hand man to explore some mentorship options and I enrolled in the masterclass since I feel like it matches my goals and visions, as well as it can fill the gaps of knowledge I have.
So far into the portal, I am amazed on how many things it has, he has overdelivered for sure, I am reviewing all the material now that its holiday season and I am looking forward into the classes and the coaching calls.
I will update my post once I finish the whole class and leave my full review on it.
I can't talk about the masterclass because I did not go through it, but I did 1on1 mentorship. Richard's mentorship goes beyond just teaching investment strategies, it provides comprehensive guidance on building a portfolio and scaling your RE. His expertise, industry insights, and personalized support have been great in my growth.
One of the most significant positive results I've achieved from the mentorship is the ability to identify investment opportunities and make informed decisions. Richard's teachings on market analysis, property evaluation, and risk assessment have given me a competitive advantage in the real estate market and I am very grateful for that.
