Avoid LeasingToBuy by John Jackson

I bought John's online course, LeasingToBuy on May 31st. I thought that the course materials were very sloppily prepared, with little detail given on how to do transactions. The contracts were not editable online, and I couldn't access the webinar recordings. So, I waited until the course materials would arrive in the mail. I waited the full 10 business days with no package. I then disputed the charge with my credit card company and the SAME DAY I receive a notification that the package was being sent! Well, imagine that! I received said package the next day and promptly sent it back UNOPENED. I emailed John Jackson several times, documenting my steps, with no reply at all. Now, I find that I am REBILLED from John Jackson, without the course materials!! He even has a money back guarantee!! He doesn't have the common courtesy to respond, and, according to my credit card company, HAS TO RESPOND TO MY DISPUTE! He has not attempted to contact me at all. I am now reviewing options on getting that refund. AVOID JOHN JACKSON'S COURSE!!

I just attended John Jackson's two day event. His course and event is a MUST if you are a Texas investor, or plan to be a Texas investor. Highly recommend buying the material, and attending his event.

It is a MUST, if a Texas investor intends to do Lease Options in Texas. By purchasing John Jackson's training, which includes the necessary Texas paperwork, as well as his two day event, the investor has what is needed. Lease Options in Texas are different from other states. He also teaches a "niche" technique, using Lease Options, which is great for a investor that is new to the business.

 You for the second time say it is a MUST with no details. We all no lease options of more than 180 days in Texas are so stringent that it is rarely feasible. So , exactly what makes his training a must and what is the total cost?

@Greg H. these fake accounts are so obvious to spot.  They have under 8 posts and no votes, no picture, and a clear agenda.  They are some sort of bot that positively talks about a product, seminar, or guru after negative criticism has been given.  Susan May is just another example.

 Possibly a virtual assistant creating accounts, but not a bot.  She posted on topics and created a topic on a different subject

Not sure what anyone's problem is with John Jackson's program, but I have had it for a couple years and use it all the time. If i have a problem, question, etc, I can message or text John and get a prompt reply and answers to my questions.  I highly recommend his course.

@Melodee Lucido

I saw you had mention in a post quite a few years back that John played a role in improving your business. Do you mind saying why the change of heart? I inquired about his training.

@Will Sholy,  I am from Ventura also!! I I haven't been back since 2007 though. The reason I changed my mind about John Jackson is, after years of being investor friends, he asked me to be his acquisition person, help train his students and to speak at his seminars. I was shocked at his lack of integrity and dishonesty. It was a very sad reality to me but I left that arrangement with him owing me a lot of money. I still have people contacting me 2 years later asking if I know a way they can get their money back. Some of these people paid $30-50k for his "high-end" courses
. . after which he basically dodged their requests/calls/emails for what they were promised.  There have been a several threats of a lawsuit.

If anyone is reading this that I had contact with during that time I had nothing to do with his tactics. I had no idea things were as they were, and I am sorry you got caught in his net.

@Melodee Lucido

Ventura is awesome! Except for the whole cost of living thing... Anyway, thanks for sharing that information. I don’t want to make hasty uneducated decisions. I may just try to find someone local to pick their brain.

This LeasingToBuy course, as well as his seminars, are a complete ripoff and waste of time.....Lease options more than 180 days are also illegal in TX (AND OTHER STATES) as are the "sandwich contracts' that he repeatedly refers to.  The bottom line is that he tries to convince you that you can get rich by convincing prospective lease- purchase buyers to pay $8-$10k for the right to sign a lease option contract.  If you've ever watched one of his podcasts, you can see that isn't that knowledgeable or confident in what he says....buyers beware on this one....

The best in the LO niche is Joe McCall. A lot of people that live in Ca work virtually in better markets. BP is a wealth of info for you. If you ever want to jv on a deal let me know.

I worked with him for almost a year. It was brutal watching him promise people coaching and then laughing at "suckers" who would pay for his high priced courses. He avoided their calls . . so they would call me. I would help them as much as I could BUT mainly they wanted their money back. NO integrity! Even his office manager was at her wits end. She said it had been going on this way for a few years.

Of course I stopped working with him asap!

 I don't know you Dave but I take it you haven't read my material, or...you've bought several courses and are mad at the creators of the course because you haven't been able to implement them. My little Leasing To Buy business is humming along just fine here in Texas. Wish you the best.

Melody!!!! How are you my friend?!! I hope you are well, wherever you are. Loved your energy. I sometimes remember the time in my car on the way to Houston when I learned of my mom, and you were there and I'm glad  you were.  Hope you are well.

 Hey there Roy! Roy, not only did we give you our ALL to get you across the finish line....most of the time we couldn't even get you to the starting gate! Nothing bad or personal, but my lord my friend...even my sister spent countless WEEKS for FREE trying and trying to prod you forward.  Business is not for everyone that is for sure.
