Under Water in a Renovation
I have been investing in the Atlanta market for some time as a fix and flipper and fix and hold investor. I purchased a home which needed a total gut and renovations. I chose to do a 500 sq ft addition. Doing the addition put me at odds with the city building/code enforcement. After having been shut down with a "Stop Work" order, I was forced to drain my cash reserves in meeting the ever changing code . compliance. I used private money to acquire and renovate this property. From my calculations, there are still equity to mine from this deal. I'm at a loss as to how to get the additional funds to finish the renovations. I'd welcome some direction.
