Anyone have any ideas they are willing to share as far as automating your real estate business using technology?

Several recommendations. Mine are mostly on the basic communication workflow side:

Email scheduler: I use Right Inbox

Expense Tracking: I use Expensify

Accounting: Xero

Property Analysis (and any analysis): Google Sheets

(Ballpark) Rental Comps: Rentometer

I have built out scrapers in the past to get specific market data. These have a short lifespan, so you need to be very specific about what you want.

You definitely need to have a good task manager (regardless of whether you do REI or not). I have used Remember the Milk for years, but I am likely switching to Google Tasks in the near future.
