Eviction Question
I know it probably varies state-to-state. Here's the question anyway. May a landlord continue to evict a tenant who is grossly late on rent (as of now, 13 days) after starting the eviction proceedings if the tenant tries to pay rent? What I mean is, I just want this guy out as I know I'm going to walk into problems with him down the road. It's the very first month of his lease and he's late. I want to evict him, but I believe he will try and pay in a few days. I would like to reject his rent payment and just get possession of the property.
