30 day Notice Question

Hello BP,

If renter puts in 30 day notice on the 1st of a 31 day month they are still within the 30 day notice parameters correct? Or is the renter subject to the next month's rent? I would think they are within their 30 day notice agreement but I would like confirmation or correction.
