Tenant bankruptcy
Has anyone had a tenant declare chapter 7 bankruptcy before?
I had a former tenant that I was able to put out for not paying rent. I got a judgement for the past due rent and started a garnishment. She declared bankruptcy within 2 months of the garnishment. I have the option of filing a complaint to not have my credit discharged, but I keep hearing it is a waste of time. I want to convert her from 7 to 11, and restructure her as she has a very stable income and I am her only debt. Just want to know if anyone else has gone through a similar experience and the outcome.
