What rights to sub-leasees have?

Hey everyone, I am in a situation where a leasee is subletting a few offices in his space with permission of the landlord. The leasee made a handshake agreement with them and now he wants them out. Since they don't have a physical lease, how many days notice must the leasee give to his sub-letters? Thanks!
