Renters busted lease 6 months early....Do I have any recourse?

I have a client (landlord) who has a year lease on a property. The tenants just gave notice (6 months in) that they are going "bankrupt" and needing to bust the lease. The rent is $2500 per month. The tenant's were very meticulous with their finances and made plenty of money (verified by their 2012 tax return). We think they just want to move and bust the lease.

Does my client (landlord) have any recourse against them?
