Can I put a house that's listed with an agent under a lease option contract and assign that contract to a buyer?
Certainly, just don't try to leave out the listing agent.
Thank you! I was just curious if that was okay to do. In that situation I wouldn't leave out the agent. I would rather build a relationship with them.

If I were you I would just wait for it to expire and then contact the seller. Less messy that way and then you wouldn't be liable to pay the agent because they are no longer "under contract."
