Is it required that I have an agent or broker in order to enter into a lease option or seller finance arrangement? What if I just contact the property owner myself?
You should get an attorney atleast
Yes, thank you, but do I need an agent/broker or can it be done without?
@Monty Marvian No, you do not need an agent to do any kind of real estate transaction.
Thank you, Doug
You don't NEED a realtor to complete a residential real estate transaction although they can certainly be helpful - it just depends on your comfort level with owning all the steps yourself. If you can come to terms with a Seller, you definitely want to engage either a title company and/or a real estate lawyer to ensure the transaction is executed correctly, the deed, deed of trust and promissory note are all drawn up correctly and filed so that both parties are protected
