Looking to purchase single/multi family would love help on next my step
Newbie here, just sold my house and now looking to move my family and I closer to the east coast. Currently living in Houston Tx now. My wife and I are both military, my credit is about 740 and hers is about 650. We would love any advice or recommendation on a lender that is pretty savvy when it comes to using a Va loan and multifamily!
Congrats on selling your house and asking questions to this community before making your next financial decision. Depending on the market in your new area, it may be smart to consider using your VA loan for a multifamily property near your family. Also, depending on your desired lifestyle and how long you may live in this area, you may want to find an experienced property manager to manage the property for you and not tell any of the tenants that you own the property.
Lastly, if you don't like the multifamily properties in your new area, you might also consider spending as little on rent as possible to live comfortably. Then take your time to find a great investment property, which may or may not be in the same area.
Wishing you and your family all the best in your investments!

@Lanny K. Thank you I appreciate that information, much needed.

@Malcolm Quarterman Happy to connect you with the lender my wife and I used for our VA loan house hack purchase in San Diego. Shoot me a message if you want her info.

Hello Malcolm,
Nice to make your acquaintance on here. The credit you and wife both have look good. I would recommend that you compare multiple VA loan options before you settle on one. That will help you find the lender with the best loan pricing and with less junk fees
