Roofing estimate about 800 sq. foot. Help
I have about 800 square foot roof. (21'*19'* 2 sides)
I called home depot. Material is:
8 square 24 bundles
2 bundles hip/ridge
4 rolls of paper 35
1 bundle starter
$909.69 material including tax
$59 delivery charge
I can get a 10% military discount. & then was planning to buy gift cards to get about another 10% off. When are decent sales on shingles?
How much to tear off the old? How much to install the new?

I contacted via text 3 contractors this morning. Only one got back to me so far. He shot me a price of $1200 which included all the material to shingle over the old (didn't get into detail of what kind of shingle etc.). Or $2800 for tear off which included water step flashing felt ridge vent reshingle.

Appreciate help. How to do this less expensive? Would you do the shingle over (old shingles are curling some)? Or do it new. This is my personal residence I plan to keep for some time.
