Getting pet, rat, and smoke smell out of a house

I'm renovating a house I bought that has a nauseating smell to it. We have aired the house out for a few days. There were many dogs, cats, and rats living in the house. They also smoked. The smell is probably in the walls, which is paneling and the floors which are hardwood and sheet vinyl. Any advice for primer or other product for walls and flooring would be appreciated.
