Usually removing a dishwasher is easy . Not this time . I get a call from a customer that her hardwood floors are buckling in her kitchen .I go over and the dishwasher is leaking , its 15 years old . I give her the name of a good flooring guy to fix the floor . But now I need to remove the dishwasher . Problem is the 3/4 in hardwood was installed way after the dish washer . It just wont slide out . I disconnect everything and then have to take the sawzall to cut the housing to make it shorter . Takes about an hour and a half to do all this .  Now a new one isnt going in unless we remove the L shaped granite counter top  or she can find a shorter dishwasher . The buckled floor is on the backside of the counter , not the front . She wants to know about how much it will cost , I told her to figure on $ 500 labor minimum  could go more depending on time ,plus parts and the dishwasher .
