Hi all , I just want to get other opinions
Contractors vs Employees ? Pros / Cons
To better answer this question, can you provide a little more context? Do you have a company that owns a bunch of property that you are looking for people to help manager? Or, do you have a property you're trying to do some renovations on? If you provide more context, I can provide a more tailored response.
In short, If you are just looking for someone to do work on a property you own (e.g. drywall), just hire that person as a contractor and assign them a 1099 (if the work is above $600). If you have a multiple properties that you need individuals to help with day to day maintenance, it may be better that you hire an employee.
@Daniel Ebling Employees = full control, more government regulations, reporting. Contractors = pay per use, when you want, no control.
