Bathroom renovation funding

Just bought duplex and one of the bathrooms need remodeling. Plumbing and everything need to be fix. Any creative ideas to get this done with low money cost?

Hi Rena - congratulations on the two-fer!  You bought one roof and walked away with 2 doors, yay!

Generally speaking the difference between an inexpensive and an expensive bathroom rehab can be described as what is needed vs what is pretty.

Within the realm of pretty things, choose the $2.21/sq ft subway tile instead of the $4.99/sq ft one.  Choose the $1.69/sq ft floor tile instead of the $10/sq ft mosaic.  Don't move plumbing unless you have to.  Keep and tidy up instead of replace, if possible.   If you are going to do a stone countertop, check with fabricators in your area to find remnants that can be turned into cute counters on the cheap.

Without knowing the specifics of your project or the desired end product, it's hard to offer more specific tips, but I hope these are helpful.

Best of luck (and preparedness)!

Try a CC deal like a 0 % for x months deal.   I don't know if you have a Big Box store card if there are advantages there.  You can get a home equity line of credit. Do what you can yourself to keep costs down.  Hire a plumber for the hard stuff,  but if it is unoccupied maybe you can do some of the demo like tile removal. Don't remove a tub that is in decent shape, maybe reglaze it.
