San Antonio TX Patio Cover Permit

Hi all! I need some guidance on one flip house project that I'm doing now... this house has a pre-existing patio cover and i want to change the old columns for a fresh 4x4... because is a pre-existing patio cover do you think i need to get a city permit?? i look the files and the no shows any city permit on this.... anyone has dealt with something like this?

When making repairs, you don't need a permit. If you tear it down completely and rebuild, yes you do. I would say that fixing the columns with new 4x4s would be repairing.
