Investment Info:
Other other investment.
Long Term Land Investment, where a new NorthSouth Arterial Road was going to be built on an existing 5 lane East West.
What made you interested in investing in this type of deal?
When we purchased we did not feel we had time to manage RE, so raw land seemed like a good fit, basically a set and forget to help us diversify from the stock market
How did you find this deal and how did you negotiate it?
My Wife was working as a RE Agent in TX and found this property, recognizing the great long term potential.
How did you finance this deal?
Conventional
How did you add value to the deal?
Just held it waiting on the road to be built.
What was the outcome?
The final stage of the road is being built now along with a ton of other growth in the area. We will close on the sale of the Land in Mar, and the funds will be used to launch a full time RE investment for me, replacing my old 9-5 environment.
Lessons learned? Challenges?
Taxes made holding raw land difficult.
Did you work with any real estate professionals (agents, lenders, etc.) that you'd recommend to others?
Yes in Round Rock, TX Mike Freeman
