@Brian Montiel Visit your local REI groups. There are many groups that meet across the country. Some post here on the Bigger Pockets Marketplace. Many post on meetup.com. Even facebook will have some. Networking is always a great practice and you never know who you might meet there and what good information they have to share. Would certainly recommend visiting if one is close to you.

Brian, I am a real estate broker- I live nearby you in Molalla.  I'd love to get together and chat about your plans and how the process works.

Hey @Brian Montiel, congratulations on wanting to start this journey! Best advice to learn is to find someone that is doing exactly what you're doing. Find some local REI meetups and provide some value to them. Bring them a deal, show off some skills you have, whatever it takes to give them something in return for their time and value. More than glad to help you out if you need it 👍

I second what Andrew said - looking for local real estate meetups is the best way to get a sense of how to invest in your specific market - it will be beneficial for you to make relationships with fellow investors who may have experience, lenders, realtors, wholesaler, etc. so that when the time comes you have all of your ducks in a row. Best of luck and happy investing!
