General contractors in the Houston area

Hi BP, my first post :)

Any recommendations of General Contractors for the Houston area? I'm also looking in Angie's List and other search sites, but I figured the folks in BP have first hand experience with GC's that they have worked with who are reliable and had little or no issues dealing with.

I'm looking at gutting a single family home (3/1 1500sqft) to its structural frame and renovating it to a 4/2 or even expanding it to a second door unit to make it into a duplex.
