Advice for starting a REIG or REIA
There seemed to be a huge need in my town for an investors group. So taking Josh Dorkin's advice, I started one with another local guy I met here on BP!
Our first meeting was a simple meet n greet last week and we had about 16 people total, which I thought was pretty good.
The word is getting out and now I believe we could have up to 30-40 attenders next time. So things are getting real!
Any advice for running an REIG? Have any of you attended or started your own group? What type of structure or format do you have? What do you like/dislike about your group?
And what's the difference between calling it an REIG or REIA? Is the latter only if you're a part of a larger org?
Currently we are discussing quarterly meetings with dues being $25 per mtg.
