What Is the Best/Cheapest Way to Find Discounted Homes in Phoenix

I have been finding discounted homes in Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, Chandler, Mesa and other parts of Metro Phoenix for a few years now.  I have come to understand that everything under the sun can work to find motivated sellers.  But just because everything does work, that doesn't mean that you should do everything.  Now that I have tried so many strategies, I find myself focusing on getting deals that cost me the least amount of money in marketing.

Right now my favorite/cheap strategy to find deals are door knocking and driving for dollars.  It has been a great lead source for me and I wanted to know what other strategies investors are using to keep there cost per deal down.

Hope to hear from you,

driving for dollars & than door knocking is my main strategy as well.

Most of the leads I come across have the same mailing address as the subject property so locating the owner is the hard part.

We have been getting most of our deals from website leads and tracking down vacants.

Whose doors are you knocking?  We haven't had much success with the pre-foreclosures lately since there just aren't very many of them.

And I'd be interested to hear what you use for tracking down owners.  We use lexis-nexis but it's expensive.

Im interested in this as well I've been noticing a lot of the door knocking I'm doing people have already gotten out of foreclosure and are tired of people knocking on their door, so the pre-foreclosure door knocking hasn't been very productive for me. What websites do you use for leads?
