Being licensed can help, but don't put the cart before the horse. Get going with your investing first and when it can complement your investing and you have time then work on getting licensed. If you are worried about learning the jargon, etc... spend your free time listening to real estate podcasts and you will be amazed at what you learn within a few weeks. Also working with a good agent when you are getting started can help with your RE education.
