Executor with same address as decedent

I bought my first probate list from Dec. '12 and I was wondering if you mailed to executors with the same address listed as the decedent?

I know this is usually the surviving spouse, but have any of you found it worth your while to do this or do you just stick to the ones with different addresses?

@Josh R. That’s a good question and a fair assessment. However, sometimes that’s just not the case. It may also be a sibling or offspring.

The latter is my favorite target market: the child that lives at home during their adult life and ‘fails to launch.’

I would put more time into your marketing, developing your USP’s and test, test, test.

This is my first probate mailing. What common motivations are you coming across that the person who is living there would need to sell for a discount so that I can be prepared to touch on those subjects?

Look for catalysts; single or compounded situations that act as triggers:

Foreclosure
Debts, bequests & creditor claims that must be settled
Disputes/Litigation, etc.

@Josh R. often times the "child that fails to launch" needs to sell because other siblings want their share. Often times the property is in disrepair. Combine the two and there is motivation.
