Investment Info:

Condo other investment.

Purchase price: $425,000
Cash invested: $25,000
Sale price: $560,000

I purchased my first condo in 2007, knowing nothing about real estate. I proceeded to be under water for almost a decade. In that time, I found Bigger Pockets. When the time came I was able to recognize the market turning and what a light remodel could do. I sold in January of 2018 and made back all of my losses, rehab costs and then some. Not to mention, I got to live in a beautiful neighborhood in a wonderful city.

How did you add value to the deal?

I replaced the carpet, full kitchen remodel, whole house paint and slight bathroom updates. 90% of it was sweat equity.
