Help! Legal Question for CA Brokers/ Attorneys !
I am a licensed CA real estate agent that is currently inactive. I want to buy my first home in CA going FHA (owner-occup. investment) and have my qualification letter. As a licensed agent, can I buy property without being under a Broker ( absorbing all possible liability myself) ? Also, I don't want to hire a Buyer's Rep since I am acting as Principal. I'm contacting Listing agents directly to see properties, but I disclose in advance that I am an agent acting as Principal. I don't want to pay any commissions to a Buyers Rep obviously when I can do it myself. Any legal ramifications here ?
