Private Auction Vacant Land

I have come across many houses and vacant lands being auctioned and raffled. I have a vacant piece of land and would like to know ruled and regulations on this. Taxes, maximum time for auctions, starting numbers etc. everything and anything would be appreciated.

I believe for a raffle you have to register as a lottery. Auction is a different story, and you can find many auctioneers who can better guide you. Also depends on your province.
