Behind the scenes podcast questions

Hey! This year at BPcon we'll be doing a live podcast (as we do every year) with a few podcasts hosts. My question is-what have you always wanted to know about the podcast but never been able to ask? Anything goes! It can be about brandon's beard, my head razor, or Rob's quaff-whatever you've wanted to know but haven't asked, ask here and we'll discuss it live!

We must know: After the podcast did you and Brandon ever make fun of any Podcast guests off-camera? :-)

Has there ever been an embarrassing moment behind the scenes for the speaker on the show or anyone else?

How scripted are the questions versus dynamic on-the-fly and impromptu?  Or is it somewhere in between whereby there are prepared questions, but they serve as a loose guide and roadmap but you let yourselves diverge from it?

Was this approach (to above question) the same for you, Brandon, and Josh or were some of you more loose than others with the planned path of the interview dialogue than others?

How much do you and your cohosts share/collaborate on these questions to cover before the podcast and how much does behind the scenes staff help with this, or do you come independently mostly with your own?

Who are the people in the podcast world that are an inspiration to the Bigger Pockets Podcast? I'd be curious who you got ideas from in the early days and how that has changed now with such a large following!

Do you guys practice what you say before or do you just wing it? How scripted are your conversations/presentations?

What are your favorite and least favorite aspects of recording the podcast?

Also, have you ever farted on air?  If so, did anyone notice?!

When you say "Welcome to the Bigger Pockets Podcast SHOW 500" do you say that before every episode or just record a bunch back to back.

Who else is on the zoom calls with you guys?

Is podcast recording draining?

What's the most embarrassing thing you've said that had to get cut out during editing?

Have you ever had to leave in the middle of an episode for an unforeseen reason leaving the other host to keep going without you?

@David Greene  as a fellow BJJ practitioner, I'm curious how often you guys get to train with your schedule? Real estate can get super busy and I often find myself skipping evening classes because I've worked on houses all day and just want to spend time with my family. Are you guys able to find a balance between the two?

@David Greene

Did podcast downloads or monthly listeners decline when Brandon left the podcast?

Is there a "dream" guest you guys haven't been able to get on the pod yet?

Besides me for a third time, of course ;)

What happens when you have to go to the bathroom during the podcast? Also how far out does a podcast get recorded vs when it comes out?

Have you ever forgot to click record?  What's the longest an unrecorded show has gone on for?

Have you ever brought on a guest to the podcast but after starting to record with them decide they weren’t a good fit and the content wasn’t valuable enough?

Who decides whom to bring as guests?

and has there been a time you refused to have particular guests on your show?

How do you pick your guests? Do you provide questions to them in advance? What do you do if they don't turn out to be great interviewees?
Whats the hardest part about being a host?
How do you consistently think of new topics to discuss
