Unfair HOA fee charged to the Rented unit

Hello BP,

So these HOA board members are trying to amend the HOA rules so that the owner of each rented condominium unit needs to pay $50 more per month. I thought HOA fee is supposed to be based on its square footage. Any idea or feedback would be appreciated so that I can bring this issue at their next meeting?

@AARON CHOI I could see a one time fee if the current bylaws require a new occupant to register with the hoa and get a parking sticker, etc. admin fee. What are the fees to be used for? To build up a fund to hire an attorney to find a legal way to oust owners who rent out their units?

sounds like they are trying to discourage renters! Get on top of this one before the Get out of hand with other crazy fees associated with Leasing our your property

I don’t know where they would spend the money, as I’m sure they already charge a fee for processing the credit, gate fee, amenity fee etc...
