Looking to start wholesaling but I live in Santa Clara county where the avg home price is over 1mil. Just want to know how identify a good market to start wholesaling. Should I look at other nearby counties with lower home prices?

No.

I  would move ASAP.

People are leaving your state quickly.

Best of Luck

If the average home price is $1M, and you want to get in the business of helping homeowners transact... getting a license seems like a way more obvious path to success than wholesaling.
